We also receive information regarding college and university-specific scholarships (awarded to students who apply to certain schools).  Check a few out below!

NIU Scholarship

Northern Illinois University is excited to announce the NIU Out-of-State Huskie Scholarship -- available to fall 2011 incoming, undergraduate students from Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin.  This scholarship will be awarded to academically qualified students who exhibit strong academic performance and potential.

Funds are limited and will be awarded on a rolling basis, so apply to NIU online today!  Students will be considered for the NIU Out-of-State Huskie Scholarship based on their application for admission.

The scholarship is valued at $8,480 for the 2011-2012 academic year.  The scholarship is renewable for up to four years provided the recipients remain enrolled full-time and maintain a minimum 2.75 cumulative grade point average at NIU.  The total value of the scholarship is $34,800 over four years at current tuition rates.

The University of Dayton announces its Question Mark Competition!

The University of Dayton is devoted to the search for knowledge — a search that begins by asking big questions. We believe asking questions enriches people, communities and even the world. This inquisitive outlook is what college — and life — is about. So as you prepare to embark on your college journey, tell us about the topics that pique your curiosity and the question you have always wanted to answer.

Upload a video explaining, showing, telling, singing or cartooning what your question is — and how you would go about investigating it if you had the opportunity to do so. Share your video with friends and family through Facebook, Twitter, e-mail or word-of-mouth, and collect as many votes as possible between February 1 and March 31, 2011. The 10 videos with the most votes will be reviewed by a committee at the University of Dayton, and the top three videos will be awarded prizes towards the investigation of their questions and the grand prize winner will receive a $40,000 scholarship to the University of Dayton
